Abstract:
This systematic review analyzes the complicated dynamics of gig work in addition to providing a comprehensive understanding of the complex realities of employment on digital platforms. With a large population and expanding digital infrastructure, the gig economy has the potential to drive employment growth and economic development. This research extensively investigates and evaluates the various aspects of work dynamics inside the gig economy, revealing the complicated relationships existing between platform workers and their virtual work environments. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the results associated with the impact of management by algorithms on work experiences, contractual agreements, income variation, and job structures, facilitated by an intensive study of the relevant literature. It aims to enhance people’s understanding of the evolving nature of the workforce in the current digital era by offering an in-depth analysis of the intricate mechanisms of gig platforms. The result of this comprehensive analysis provides significant knowledge for researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders, and it will help to deal with the variety of challenges and opportunities that come along with the gig economy.
