Abstract: Westernized culture, changing lifestyle and indifferent dietary habits had affected the hair of the scalp in very adverse way. To keep the healthy hairs in the healthy state is entirely the duty of human being. Hair fall is a physiological phenomenon, generally after the mid-forties, but it is considered as a disease if it occurs before this period. For the treatment of the Hair fall, so many drugs are mentioned in Ayurvedic classics, out of them NIMB is a very well-known medicinal drug, which is easily available and within the reach of common man. In the present study clinical trial is done on Shiroabhyanga and Nasya with Nimb taila on 39 patients. Overall effect of therapy shows that in Shiro-abhyanga with nimb oil group 14% patients were observed cured, 50% patients were markedly improved, 22% patients were moderately improved while 14% patients remained unchanged. In nasya with nimb oil, 19% patients were observed cured, 68% patients found markedly improved, 13% patients reported moderately improved. Here no patient found in unchanged category. Hence treatment in group B (Nasya with nimb tail) is more effective than group A (Shiroabhyanga with nimb taila).
