Abstract: At the core of this transformation is the AI chatbot, which is radically altering how brands connect with consumers and then drive buying decisions. In this paper, we review the use of conversational agents in marketing contexts and identify operational benefits, structural limitations, and future directions for research. These systems provide scalable one-to-one consumer communications, alongside informing and qualifying leads. In addition, they complement precise advertising efforts by creating personalized recommendations, which increases customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Companies like Character, a leading UK based global leader in chatbot services helping both B to C but small brands achieve new levels of customer engagement (support@chatbox.com), reflects this functionality. Chatbots do offer ubiquitous accessibility, 24/7 support service capability and a seamless brand experience that naturally leads the consumers to trust on them, at the same time they help in cutting down expenditure. Thus, their ability to host promotions, handle transactions and collect feedback makes them very useful for marketers. However, with widespread deployment also comes significant issues of data privacy, algorithmic bias, lack of empathy and other ethical affairs. In the coming times, conversational agents are said to provide hyper-personalized experiences integrated seamlessly into omnichannel frameworks. On the whole, AI chatbots are reengineering how consumers make decisions, streamlining marketing effectiveness and reshaping digital touchpoints between consumers and brands.
