| Abstract: | Digital education plays a vital role in advancing sustainable e-commerce by equipping consumers and businesses with the knowledge needed for green consumerism. This study investigates how digital education can bridge knowledge gaps related to ethical consumption and eco-friendly business practices in the district of Ara, Bihar. Using a secondary data-based methodology, the research analyzes academic literature, policy documents, and industry reports to assess the effectiveness of digital literacy initiatives and sustainability-focused learning platforms. The findings suggest that while digital infrastructure is expanding, there remains a lack of sustainability-oriented content in mainstream digital education. Integrating such content, particularly through AI-driven and localized learning models can significantly enhance awareness of green consumer behavior and sustainable supply chains. The study highlights the need for policy reforms, curriculum redesign, and region-specific interventions to empower communities with the digital competencies required for responsible e-commerce. It offers actionable insights for educators, policymakers, and digital platforms working toward sustainability goals. |
