Abstract: Industrial roof structures are continuously exposed to moisture, temperature variation, ultraviolet radiation, and environmental loading, which may result in leakage, thermal cracking, and deterioration of structural components. An effective waterproofing system is therefore essential to improve durability and reduce long-term maintenance costs. This study evaluates the performance of Atactic Polypropylene (APP) membrane waterproofing systems integrated with multilayer protection arrangements including insulation boards, vapor barriers, screed concrete, and tile finishing. The investigation was carried out through field-based application methods and comparative analysis with conventional waterproofing systems. Performance assessment was conducted using water ponding tests, leakage inspection, thermal resistance observations, and maintenance evaluation. The findings indicate that APP membrane waterproofing provides excellent resistance against water ingress and environmental exposure. The inclusion of protective layers significantly improves mechanical protection and minimizes thermal stress on roof slabs. Comparative analysis revealed that APP membrane systems provide balanced performance in terms of durability, flexibility, service life, UV resistance, and cost-effectiveness. The study concludes that APP membrane waterproofing with protective layers is a reliable and sustainable solution for industrial roof applications.
