Abstract: Youth well-being and mental resilience have become significant factors in ensuring sustainable national development, especially within the framework of India’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat.” The rising incidence of stress, anxiety, and emotional concerns among young individuals highlights the need to better understand their mental health and coping mechanisms. This study employs a qualitative, review-based approach to explore the conceptual dimensions, key determinants, and institutional aspects of youth well-being and resilience. Based on secondary sources such as scholarly articles, policy documents, and international reports, the study identifies major influencing factors including academic pressure, digital engagement, social support systems, and career-related uncertainties. It also emphasizes that resilience is a dynamic process shaped by both individual strengths and environmental influences. The findings draw attention to the crucial role of higher education institutions in promoting mental well-being through supportive policies and practices. Overall, the study suggests that strengthening youth resilience is essential for improving productivity, fostering innovation, and enhancing social cohesion, thereby contributing to the vision of a developed and progressive nation. It further presents key educational implications for integrating mental health awareness, life skills, and supportive institutional practices within higher education.
