This paper critically examines the transformative potential of human rights frameworks in fostering women's empowerment, focusing specifically on the intertwined dimensions of autonomy and social transformation. Moving beyond a purely legalistic interpretation, it argues that the active recognition and implementation of women's human rights serve as a crucial catalyst for enabling individual agency and challenging entrenched patriarchal structures. Through an interdisciplinary lens, drawing upon socio-legal studies, feminist theory, and development studies, this analysis investigates how the realization of fundamental rights – including but not limited to bodily integrity, economic opportunity, and political participation – directly contributes to women's enhanced autonomy in decision-making and their capacity to act as agents of social transformation within their communities and beyond. The paper further explores the mechanisms through which human rights frameworks can dismantle systemic barriers and promote gender equality. It analyzes the role of international conventions, national legislation, and grassroots activism in translating abstract rights into tangible improvements in women's lives. It posits that a robust commitment to women's human rights is not merely a matter of justice but a fundamental prerequisite for achieving sustainable and fair social transformation on a global scale.
