| Abstract: | Access to quality healthcare services plays a pivotal role in shaping the health outcomes of populations, particularly vulnerable groups such as children. In the diverse landscape of India, marked by distinct regional disparities, understanding the implications of healthcare accessibility on child health is of paramount importance. This research embarks on an investigation into the impact of healthcare accessibility disparities on child mortality rates across different states of India, focusing on the year 2021-22. India, with its vast geographical expanse and socio-economic diversity, presents a complex healthcare landscape. Disparities in healthcare accessibility, influenced by factors such as infrastructure, socio-economic conditions, and public health policies, may contribute to variations in child mortality rates. The year 2021-22, marked by global challenges, further underscores the urgency of evaluating the state-specific dynamics that affect child health outcomes. The specific focus of this study is child mortality rates, a crucial indicator reflecting the overall health and well-being of the youngest members of society. By homing in on child mortality, we aim to not only quantify the disparities but also to discern the potential consequences on a segment of the population that is particularly susceptible to the effects of healthcare inequalities. Through rigorous examination of available data on healthcare accessibility and child mortality rates, encompassing a variety of factors such as the distribution of healthcare facilities, socio-economic conditions, and regional demographics, this study aspires to unravel the intricate interplay between healthcare accessibility disparities and child health outcomes in different states of India. The findings of this research are anticipated to provide valuable insights for policymakers, healthcare professionals, and public health practitioners. By delineating the impact of healthcare accessibility disparities on child mortality rates, we aspire to contribute to evidence-based decision-making that can foster targeted interventions, ultimately leading to improved child health outcomes across the diverse states of India. |
