| Abstract: | Mental stability and happiness are highly linked, it’s almost impossible to have one without the other and it can be difficult to achieve both when you’re facing some form of adversity in life. The American Psychological Association defines happiness as “An emotion of joy, gladness, satisfaction and well-being. Mental health is your psychological well-being, environment around and relationships in your life.” Thrive the power of psychological therapy” Richard Laylard describe the anguish of poor mental health, “Mental pain is as real as physical pain. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological and social well-being, it affects how we think, feel and act, it also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others. Mental health conditions include mental disorders and psychosocial disabilities as well as other mental states associated with significant distress, impairment in functioning or risk of self-harm. Happiness is a positive and pleasant emotion, ranging from contentment to intense joy, moments of happiness may be triggered by positive life experience or thoughts but sometimes it may arise from no obvious cause. Mental health takes over happiness are both in relation; mental health on one side is hard to deal with unless you have support or you’re working on it yourself in a good way. Happiness is usually the best part of one’s self, happiness can positive emotions it can improve their mental well-being. |
