| Abstract: | Aim and Objectives To study about the knowledge of the use of lasers in pediatric dentistry among dental students and assess the awareness among them regarding the same Materials and Methods A questionnaire study was conducted among dental students in a private dental college in Chennai. The questionnaire consisted of 15 questions regarding lasers in pediatric dentistry. The questionnaire was circulated among dental students via google forms and responses were tabulated in spread sheets and evaluated for statistical analysis by PSPP software. Results 105 dental students took part in the study. Only 43% were aware of the correct definition of laser, with only 64% knowing its correct abbreviation. Over all the awareness of usage of lasers in prosthodontists was only 40% Conclusion The current study implies that the knowledge and awareness of usage of lasers in pediatric dentistry was quite poor.
