Abstract
Aspirin and paracetamol have synthesized and characterized using infrared, electronic, melting point measurements. The 4-aminophenol was reacted with acetic anhydride and paracetamol was obtained. Percentage of active ingredients, spectrophotometric and their absorption bands at 250 nm were analyzed on eight different brands of commercially compounded paracetamol. Similarly aspirin was synthesized by acetylation of salicylic acid. In addition theoretical study was also carried out by G09w software with parameter of B3LYP/6-31G(d,p). From the HOMO and LUMO values all the global parameters are calculated and interpreted.
