| Abstract: | Today's manufacturing industries' ultimate goal is to provide the market with high-quality products at reasonable prices and at the right time. This goal is driving the majority of manufacturing companies to develop systematic and integrated manufacturing systems. Companies seek a competitive advantage by focusing on performance factors such as flexibility, rapid response, cost, efficiency, quality, reliability, and service. Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing is the best strategy for achieving these goals. This study was conducted in the medium-sized manufacturing industry to determine the significance of various JIT practices. A questionnaire assessing the role of JIT practices in terms of process, management commitment, worker commitment, and vendor participation has been developed. The significant benefits that resulted from the successful implementation of the JIT approach and practices were measured using the student t test and structural equation modelling. According to the findings, the manufacturing industry is very focused on process and vendor participation related JIT practices. Implementing the JIT approach and practices greatly improves the flexibility of manufacturing system processes. Furthermore, working commitment is extremely beneficial in improving industry performance by achieving various benefits. |
