The field experiment was carried out during the 2019 and 2020 in kharif season to evaluate the Effect of fertility levels and bio-fertilizers on growth, yield and quality of green gram [Vigna radiata (L.)]. The treatments consisted four fertility levels viz., (i) control, (ii) 50% RDF, (iii) 75% RDF and (iv) 100% RDF were assigned in main plots and four levels of bio-fertilizers inoculation viz., (i) control, (ii) Rhizobium, (iii) Phosphate Solubilizing bacteria (PSB), and (iv) Rhizobium+ PSB were assigned in sub plots, respectively. The result indicated that in the fertility levels significantly improved the yield attributes and yield of green gram. The application of 100% RDF recorded highest yield attributes viz. number of pods plant-1 (23.36 and 22.33 cm), pod length (6.19 and 6.15 cm), number of grains pod-1 (11.22 and 10.97), and test weight (49.96 and 48.94 g) as well as grain yield (1156.67 and 1106.67 kg ha-1), straw yield (2709.17 and 2634.17 kg ha-1) biological yield (3865.83 and 3740.83 kg ha-1) and harvest index (29.92 and 29.57) in both years, respectively. Moreover, the application of bio-fertilizers significantly improves the yield attributes and yield of green gram. The application of rhizobium + PSB gave highest yield attributes viz. number of pods plant-1 (16.56 and 15.53 cm), pod length (5.09 and 5.04 cm), number of grains pod-1 (9.22 and 8.97), and test weight (41.04 and 40.02 g) as well as grain yield (940.00 and 890.00 kg ha-1), straw yield (2274.17 and 2199.17 kg ha-1) biological yield (3214.17 and 3089.17 kg ha-1) and harvest index (29.09 and 28.61) in both years, respectively. The present study highlighted the practical importance of the fertility levels and bio-fertilizers combination response on yield attributes and yield of green gram.
