Abstract
ABO and Rhesus blood group systems are clinically the most important and relevant for transfusion. A feature of the ABO system is the regular occurrence of anti A and anti B in the absence of the corresponding red cell antigen .A discrepancy exists when results of red cell tests do not complement that of serum tests. Blood Donors and patients must be correctly ABO and Rh grouped because transfusing ABO in-compatible blood transfusion which may lead even to death of the patient.
