Abstract: The purpose of our project is to build a Human Detection Robot that detects humans and stream videos and capture images of humans in different scenarios. For example the robot is useful during times of earthquakes where a lot of victims will be trapped under the debris and this robot can detect the human presence and the rescue operation can be done more effectively. It can also be used to determine terrorist presence in borders so they can aid the soldiers in eliminating the enemy without less collateral damage. It can also be used in other natural calamities like wild fire, flood etc where the robot can be used effectively for rescue missions by shooting ropes and spraying water. Hence the robot can reduce human interactions and the time and effort used for these missions. A human detection system we are developing has mainly three modules. 1)Human detection using Matlab(Matrix Laboratory)software using Viola Jones algorithm and interfacing it with the microcontroller(Atmega) 2)Microcontroller module(Atmega 328,GSM,PIR,servo,JMK Camera,Provision to shoot fire or water) 3)Navigation system(Automatic and Manual) Working: Human detection takes place in the server side which receives instantaneous images taken by the robot’s camera on which the detection algorithm is applied. In case of debris zone, where human detection by this method is difficult,we use PIR Sensors to detect humans. The location of humans(latitude and longitude)is acquired through GPS and send via GSM module to the server side. Also, the naviation system is dual-Automatic and manual. The robot uses IR Rays to identify obstacles in its path, and diverts its path.If there is any situation where manual controls leads to collision the automatic navigation helps.
