| Abstract: | The sugar industry is one of the most important agro-based industries and play a significant role in economic development, employment generation, and agricultural growth. However, sugar manufacturing processes generate large quantities of solid, liquid and gaseous wastes such as biogases, press mud, molasses, boiler ash, wastewater, and air emissions. Improper disposal of these wastes can lead to environmental problems including water pollution, air pollution, soil degradation, and greenhouse gas emissions. |
