This project shows a simple method to generate electricity using wind energy from moving vehicles on highways. When vehicles move, they create airflow which is used to rotate a vertical axis wind turbine. The rotating turbine drives a DC generator to produce electrical energy. The generated power is used to light an LED. This system is simple, low cost, and eco-friendly, and it helps in using wasted wind energy for useful purposes.
