The rising rate of employee turnover has become a major issue for companies around the globe, affecting productivity, profitability, and overall stability. Investing in employee development and training is seen as a vital approach to improve job performance and lower attrition rates. This paper examines how enhancing employee development programs can influence performance and retention. By conducting a thorough literature review and an empirical study across various organizations, the paper shows that effective training initiatives and ongoing development opportunities can significantly decrease turnover while enhancing performance. The results highlight the necessity of aligning development programs with both the goals of the organization and the aspirations of employees.
