This paper explores the design and implementation of Scorn, an immersive action-adventure game developed using Unreal Engine. The project leverages advanced game development methodologies including modular rigged character systems, high-fidelity visual rendering, and real-time ray tracing. Central to the gameplay are sophisticated mechanics such as a responsive health and stamina system, strategic inventory management, and adaptive AI for both enemies and boss encounters. The game further employs Unreal Engine’s Blueprint visual scripting and MetaHuman technology to enhance realism and character interaction. Through the integration of these technologies, Scorn delivers a highly engaging and interactive player experience. This study analyzes the impact of such innovations on player immersion, narrative depth, and gameplay fluidity, highlighting their significance in contemporary game design. The findings demonstrate that combining storytelling with cutting-edge tools can significantly elevate user engagement and set new standards in action-adventure gaming.
