An automated mast rover is designed for
efficient inventory management in industrial environments.
The system retrieves a nut or bolt tray from an inventory
shelf, picks the required quantity specified by the user
through an IoT application, and delivers the selected items
using a robotic arm. The rover follows a line-following
navigation system and employs a combination of chain
drives for X-Y axis movement and a rack-and-pinion
mechanism for Z-axis vertical motion. The robotic arm
executes precise pick-and-place operations based on the user
input. This research discusses the mechanical design, control
system, IoT-based integration, and performance analysis of
retrieval accuracy, speed, and efficiency in industrial
applications.
