This study investigates the differences in stress levels and coping mechanisms between working and non-working women. A mixed-methods approach is used in this study, it explores quantitative data from 200 women and qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews. The results of this study indicate that working women experience higher levels of stress due to role overload and workplace challenges, while non-working women face different types of stress-causing factors such as financial insecurity and social isolation. Both groups of women utilize distinct coping strategies; working women predominantly employ problem-focused strategies, whereas non-working women prefer emotion-focused approaches. The workload the coping strategies are crucial elements to be given special focus.
