Abstract: Pro-social behaviour act as a benefit other; in the perspective of helping, sharing, co-operation, or showing kindness. These behaviours play an important role to build positive relationships and making a supportive community. Pro-social behaviour is particularly important for contribution to better team work, problem solving, and overall academic and personal success among polytechnic college students. The present study was conducted to know the pro-social behaviour of Hooghly and Bankura districts’ polytechnic college students. For this purpose, descriptive survey method was used. 400 fourth semester polytechnic college students were selected, for the sample by adopting multistage simple random sampling technic. The data was calculated by using pro-social behaviour scale constructed and standardized by researcher herself. The data was analysed by using ‘t’ test. The finding of the study indicates that there is no significant difference in pro-social behaviour compared of Hooghly and Bankura districts polytechnic college students even difference cannot find between municipality and panchayat areas polytechnic college students in Hooghly and Bankura districts.
