Abstract: Child labour is a global issue and child labourers working in hazardous environments are exposed to variety of hazardous substances, and extreme environments. The present paper attempts to study the major hazardous sectors which employ children and the impact of such hazardous working environments on the health of child labourers in India. A comprehensive evaluation of accessible qualitative and quantitative research published through various databases has been done. Relevant scholarly publications, review papers, and research papers on this subject were thoroughly investigated. Child labourers working in hazardous environments are highly susceptible to occupational injuries and illnesses. They suffer from many health issues, such as respiratory problems, tuberculosis, silicosis, vision and hearing problems, nutritional deficiencies, musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic problems, neurological disorders, skin diseases, and sexually transmitted diseases. Along with this they experience behavioral and emotional problems. They also suffer from physical abuse, and are often beaten by their employers.
