Abstract: The purpose of the study was to find out the differences of attitude towards physical activities among the pupil of various age categories. Through a purposive random sampling technique One hundred fifty (151) schools going students aged 09 to 18 years were selected from different parts of Murshidabad district, West Bengal, India. They were divided into three groups based on their age, namely, Late Childhood (LC, N = 46) 9-11 Years, Early Adolescent (EA, N = 57), 12-14 Years, and Late Adolescent (LA, N = 48) 15-18 Years . The modified version of Kenyon Attitude toward Physical Activity (Kenyon ATPA) was used to gather the information about attitude towards physical activity. Each individual will receive six scores (Mximum 05 and Minimum 01) as mentioned. By summing up all the scores the overall attitude has been obtained. Result of ANOVA confirms that there is a significant difference among all the three groups. The post hoc mean comparison proved that the EA and LA are significantly better than LC, whereas no significant difference found between EA and LA. Based on the analysis, findings and discussion it can be concluded that both early and late adolescents are better in attitude towards physical activity than the childhood pupil.
