| Abstract: | Pramana Sharir is endowed with basics of the structural design of human body. Pramana word is used in Ayurveda in Different context in different meaning. In relation to Dashavidha Aatura Pariksha it means measurement of various body parts. Much can be accessed from general examination of individual’s physique. Standard measurements of the various parts of the body in terms of Svangula Pramana (One’s own finger as unit of measurements).Individual’s appearance should be according to his/her chronological age, sex, race, domicile etc. Comparative study of Pramana Sharir with commentaries to Ayurved Dipika of Charak Samhita and Nibandha Sangraha, of Susruta Samhita. To explore the contribution of Charak Samhita and Susruta Samhita in field of Pramana Sharir. And conclude Acharya Susruta commentator Acharya Dalhana has described Pramana Sharir in finer scale and its related terminology well explain. |
