Abstract: Litholytic activity refers to the ability of a substance or agent to dissolve or break down urinary stones, also known as kidney stones or renal calculi. This property is essential in the context of urology and nephrology as kidney stones can cause significant pain, obstruction, and other complications if not effectively treated. Litholytic agents can be natural or synthetic and may act through various mechanisms to facilitate the dissolution or fragmentation of kidney stones.
