The exhaustion of oil reserves and the increasing need for energy have compelled automakers to investigate novel eco-friendly car alternatives, such hybrid and electric cars. Because it directly affects the car's handling and fuel efficiency under various driving circumstances, choosing the right hybrid configuration is crucial. The main goal of this research is to perform an extensive parametric study on an electric hybrid vehicle (HEV). This study's main objective was to create a HEV powertrain by first matching parameters and sizing components, then optimising the system to satisfy predetermined design restrictions. In order to determine the power requirements of various components, vehicle dynamics have to be analysed and calculated. To accomplish the design goals, optimisation techniques were used after the initial parameterization. Next, using MATLAB software designed especially for an Indian vehicle cycles (IDC), the optimised HEV was simulated. The powertrain components' ideal range was determined using the simulation results, guaranteeing effective operation in real-world driving situations.
