Malware detection stands as a critical component within the realm of endpoint security, encompassing workstations, servers. Its primary function is to identify and thwart malicious activities stemming from various forms of malware. Given the expanding diversity of malware threats across online domains, bolstering data security, privacy, and overall protection is imperative. To address these concerns, this research endeavour to harness the power of machine learning and deep learning algorithms for enhanced malware detection accuracy and predictive capabilities. The project will meticulously analyse and evaluate multiple algorithms against malware datasets, leveraging a comprehensive approach to discern patterns, behaviours, and characteristics indicative of malicious software. Through this endeavour, we aim to advance the state-of-the-art in malware detection, thereby fortifying cybersecurity measures and safeguarding digital ecosystems against evolving threats.
