Introduction: Disinformation poses significant challenges for societies, with journalists playing a crucial role in countering its effects by providing objective information to the public. Methodology: This qualitative study employs phenomenology as its research design to explore the impact of disinformation on journalists in Qatar through semi-structured interviews. Mainly, it aimed to answer the central question "What aspects of life are journalists most affected by disinformation?" and more specifically, the question of "How does disinformation impact the personal and professional lives of journalists?" Results: From the verbal musings of the participants, three key themes emerged: Journalistic Operation, Journalistic Introspection, and Journalistic Determination. Discussion: Journalistic Operation encompasses Informative Precision, Dialogue Navigation, and Journalistic Complication, reflecting the processes and challenges journalists face. Journalistic Introspection involves Media Obligation, Ethical Consideration, and Influence Dissection, highlighting journalists' self-reflection on their roles and responsibilities. Journalistic Determination, demonstrated through Positivity Emanation, Boundary Adaptation, and Advocacy Devotion, showcases journalists' resilience and commitment. Conclusion: The study underscores journalists' complex challenges amid rampant disinformation, emphasizing the importance of upholding their duty to the public. Future researchers could explore the public's media and information literacy and its impact on journalists' adaptation strategies and consider other factors, such as nationality, to reflect disinformation's global and multi-cultural nature.
