Design thinking is an analytic and creative process in which a person is encouraged to experiment, create and prototype models, gather feedback, and redesign. The literature has identified several characteristics like Learning Outcomes, Creativity, Problem-Solving ability and Digital Skills from Educational perspectives. Design thinking is very practical and innovative approach in Education. Design thinking approach as Digital transformative pedagogy incorporates diverse perspectives to ensure a holistic understanding of Sustainability issues like Climate change, Production and Consumption, ecologically damaging etc. which is the foremost societal and educational issue in the present era. It helps to prepare children to deal with the complexities of the future problems. It helps to achieve the goals of National Education Policy (2020) like Outcome based Education (Outcomes‐based education is a learner‐centred approach to education that focuses on what a student should be able to do in the real world upon completion of their course or program), 21st century skills (Creativity, Problem-Solving ability, Collaboration and Communication), helps to adopt new innovative technologies, Multidisciplinary & holistic Education, Experiential learning, Art integration cross cultural activities, Vocational and Entrepreneurial thinking skills, especially deals with the sustainable issues etc.
