Abstract
The problem of reflection due to longitudinal plane wave incident at a free surface of functionally graded micropolar solid half is studied. It is found that the amplitude ratios of various reflected waves are functions of angle of incidence, frequency of incident wave and are influenced by the couple stress and graded properties of the medium. The expressions of amplitude ratios have been computed numerically and presented graphically. Some special cases of interest are also derived.
