Aluminium alloy one of the major raw material use in industries due to its light weight, good thermal conductivity, high strength to weight ratio etc.In the industries like Aerospace and marine sector there is major requirement of light weight material like aluminium alloy. Also Friction stir welding is a solid state welding process involve joining similar or dissimilar low melting point alloys with rotating tool. Friction stir welding deliver higher joint strength as compared to common fusion welding. In this project There are several parameter like tool geometry, tool tilt angle, tool rotational speed etc. which affect on the friction stir welding. In this project we will compare mechanical properties in two cases i.e. in underwater condition and in air condition. It gives improved mechanical properties like strength, hardness, fracture toughness fatigue etc.
