Work–life balance is the lack of opposition between work and other life roles. It is the state of equilibrium in which demands of personal life, professional life, and family life are equal. Work–life balance consists of, but it is not limited to, flexible work arrangements that allow employees to carry out other life programs and practices .Success of every organization depends on its employees. Organization has understood that they can positively influence its employees by creating inclusive Work Life Balance. Several studies show that when Work Life Balance is positive, an individual will be able to contribute his best towards the work, family and his/her self needs. Health industry in India is growing at swift pace and majority of the work forces are contributed by women. Coimbatore is a hub for manufacturing, education and health care, there are many multispecialty hospitals are there in Coimbatore city.Through this research paper, study was made on Work life balance of female nurses working in top 5 multispecialty hospitals in Coimbatore. Demographic factors mainly Age, Marital status Qualification, Experience, Number of Children and Hospital name were considered as Independent variables and Work Life Balance as Dependent Variable. So top five multispecialty hospitals of Coimbatore were considered for the study with the total sample size of 210 female nurses. Questionnaire was used for data collection and first hand data were made for data analysis by using SPSS software with the help of Cross tabs and Chi-square test. The association of the Independent Variables was assessed with the Work life balance of the nurses. The results of the study showed that demographic factors like Age, Educational qualification and Marital status has a direct relationship with the work life balance of the nurses whereas experience, number of children and Hospital, were they working has no association with the work life balance.
