A comparative study on the two sugarcane varieties Co 0238 (Karan 4) and Co 5011 (Karan 9) to assess the yield and quality of these two varieties and to determine which variety is more suitable for cultivation in this region in Kurukshetra district of Haryana. The objective of the study is to identify the marketing channels, Marketing Cost, Market Margin, Price Spread, Marketing efficiency. Based on the verbal information collected by the respondents majority of the farmers grow Co 238 (Karan 4) variety on their farms currently, but are shifting to grow Co 5011 (Karan 9) Variety of the sugarcane from the next season because Co 5011 (Karan 9) was found to have a higher yield than Co 0238 (Karan 4), while Co 0238 (Karan 4) had a higher sugar content, on the other hand Co 5011 (Karan 9) was more resistant to pests and diseases than Co 0238 (Karan 4). Based on the results, it is recommended that farmers in the Kurukshetra district consider Co 5011 (Karan 9) as a better variety for cultivation due to its higher yield and better resistance to pests and diseases.
