The disposal of plastic waste is a major environmental challenge globally. Recycling and reusing
waste plastic is one of the ways to address this challenge. This research aims to design and
develop a low-cost pavement brick using waste plastic as a partial replacement of the
traditional aggregate. The study involved the collection of waste plastic from local sources,
shredding, and blending with cement and sand to produce a pavement brick. The physical and
mechanical properties of the pavement brick were evaluated and compared with traditional
pavement bricks. The results showed that the pavement brick produced using waste plastic has
better compressive strength, flexural strength, and water absorption capacity than traditional
pavement bricks. Furthermore, the pavement brick produced using waste plastic was found to
be environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Therefore, the use of waste plastic in pavement
brick production can be an innovative solution to address the plastic waste management
challenges
