Abstract: The idea of a metaverse, a virtual world where users can communicate with other users and a computer-generated environment in real time, is quickly gaining acceptance. While social media and gaming have historically been the two main spheres in which the metaverse has been most closely identified, its potential uses are much more widespread, especially in the area of higher education. Students can participate in immersive learning experiences in the metaverse that are not achievable in conventional classroom settings. Students can get practical experience without taking any actual risks by using virtual environments that replicate real-world events like a medical emergency or a commercial dispute. Experiential learning can be extremely beneficial in professions like engineering, law, and medicine.
