Abstract: The “ultrasonic velocity” and “density” of Ascorbic acid + Water and Ascorbic acid + Glycine +Water at four different temperature from 283.15 – 298.15 K and ten different concentration of Ascorbic acid ranging from 0.02-0.2M have been measured with help of ultrasonic technique. The molality of glycine as a solvent was taken to be 0.2mol/kg. Both Ascorbic acid as well as Glycine are vital for living organism. With the help of measured data of ultrasonic Velocity (u) , Density (ρ) and other thermos-acoustical parameters viz. “Adiabatic Compressibility (β)”, “Free Length (Lf)”, “Internal Pressure (Pi)” , “Apparent Molar Volume (Vϕ)”, “Acoustic Impedance (Z)” , “Relative Association (RA)” , and “Isobaric Thermal Expansion Coefficient (α)”, etc. have been determined to examine the interaction among the solute as well as solvent. The data of the all the parameters are varying with the increasing values of temp. and conc. This shows that due to variations in the values of different parameters for both the systems, there might be the interaction between ascorbic acid (solute) and water, glycine (solvent) or intermolecular interaction existing between them.
