Abstract: Wireless sensor network plays a crucial role in implementation of Industry 4.0 technology. So this research work oriented to design and simulate a hybrid wireless sensor network (WSN) protocol using duty cycled network protocol to optimize the energy efficiency and media access protocol with to solve network congestion and improvement of lifetime of network and its throughput. According to the proposed protocol first, time allotment process is performed for each requesting node using path optimization method, then communication link establishes between sender and receiver then finally sender sends information to receiving node. Each node is programmed in duty cycled mode to save idle mode energy and use only single path for pushing its data to cluster head if selected path is available. If selected path is not available means no acknowledge received from receiver side back to sender, in that situation, sender selects secondary path to transmit the data. Similarly if secondary path is available, data transmission establishes otherwise next path being selected. To analyze the performance of WSN, lifetime of network and energy consumption of individual node are simulated and plotted.
