Abstract
The research was conducted successfully mis aimed to measure and analyze indoor Radon concentration levels in offices of kebbi state polytechnic Dakingari using a Radon detector machine. 22 offices in the Nasarawa campus of the Kebbi state polytechnic was randomly selected as the sample of the study. The measurement of indoor Radon concentration was conducted in each office and the results was analysed. From the results obtained, the office with least concentration is E3 in area E (4.81 Bq/m3) while C2 in C Area has the highest concentration (40 Bq/m3) with a mean value of 19.95 ± 10.21 Bq/m3. The findings confirmed that, offices in Area C (Laboratories) have higher values than all other areas. This may be attributed to total closure of the laboratories when not in use which may hinder the escape of the accumulated Radon through doors and windows. However, the entire result is not worrisome as it is within the safe limit. Further studies are recommended to determine the concentration of other radionuclides such as thorium and radium to confirm the safety of the study area.
