This thesis deals with the process of Voltage Adjustments at the Bus near the wind turbine which is connected to a 9 bus power system. The process of varying the Voltage is carried out by using Shunt FACTS Device STATCOM.As the wind power input to the wind turbine is variable time to time. This leads to the variations in the bus voltage due to the variations in the reactive power drawn by the wind turbine. So, in order to overcome this problem, we are using a power electronic based FACTS Controller device STATCOM. The variations in the magnitude of the bus voltage near Wind turbine are stabilized by the process of Automatic Voltage Control mode of operation in STATCOM.
