Abstract: This paper dealt with the Vernacular and Traditional Knowledge Systems and it was explained in the perspective of NEP-2020. The Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) is recommended to be scientifically integrated, including tribal knowledge and indigenous & traditional modes of learning. India's indigenous knowledge systems cover a wide range of fields and are based on oral traditions, ancient texts, and practical experience. The NEP, which is in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, seeks to change educational institutions into adaptable, multidisciplinary establishments that foster critical thinking and impart useful knowledge. The policy promotes interdisciplinary studies that integrate Indian knowledge systems with modern disciplines. The potential advantages of SDG 4 and inclusive education are substantial, despite the difficulties in this undertaking.
