Abstract: Background : Postnatal Care is therefore, a cardinal intervention towards ensuring this maternal adjustment and neonatal adaptation following delivery. It is also an integral and important intervention towards the reduction of the maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality associated with the postnatal period. Objectives : 1. To Assess level of satisfaction perceived by postnatal mothers following nursing care provided by nursing personnel in postnatal wards. 2. To Find out association between level of satisfaction perceived by postnatal mothers with selected demographic variables. 3. To find out the area wise level of satisfaction perceived by postnatal mothers following nursing care provided in postnatal wards. Methodology: Research Approach - Quantitative approach. Research Design - Descriptive research design Sample size - 100 Sampling technique - Purposive sampling technique. Result: Results showed (66%) of postnatal mothers were partially satisfied, (21%) of postnatal mothers were dissatisfied and (13%) of postnatal mothers were fully satisfied with the care provided by the nursing personnel. The findings revealed that there was a significance association between the score level and demographic variables (Edu. Qualification, Monthly Income). Conclusion: Postnatal mothers were highly satisfied in the area of specific to postnatal care (40.85%) and lowest in communication (6.25 %). Hence the investigator found there is a need to improve quality of care provided by the nursing professionals which is only possible through periodic evaluation.
