Abstract: Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) is a chromatographic separation technique in which a mixed sample is separated, identified, and quantified using a substrate-coated substrate as the solid phase and a suitable solvent as the mobile phase. TLC is a method for analyzing mixtures by separation compounds in the mixture. TLC can be used to determine the number of components a mixture, compound identification and compound purity. Observing the appearance loss of product or reactant, it can also be used a reaction TLC is a sensitive technique micrograms (0.000001 g) can be analyzed by TLC. and the analysis takes some time (about 5-10 minutes) TLC can be used to monitor the course of a reaction, to identify the compounds contained in a given substance. TLC is also used to separate identical compounds in a mixture. Many standard methods in industrial chemistry, environment toxicology, food chemistry, water, inorganic substances and pesticides analysis, color purity, cosmetics, plant materials and herbs the analysis is based on TLC as a primary approach
