| Abstract: | Injuries of oral cavity may be caused by physical or chemical causes Although chemical injuries are caused by environmental elements such as toxic levels of chemicals in water air or consumables ,the restorative and endodontic materials used in routine dental practice also play in important role . Such as rotatory instruments like tungsten carbide ,burs. The type of chemical injury may be acidic ,alkaline or toxic .strong acids injuries may be hydrochloric and sulfuric acid. Alkalis injury due to sodium hydroxide ,potassium hydroxide etc.. oral chemical burns may be due to when chemical accidentally enters into the mouth . |
