Aim-The focus of this survey is to study , learn and investigate about the understanding and comprehensiveness of Non -carious cervical lesions among the dentists and the dental students. The survey includes the various aspects of Non Carious cervical lesions to test their knowledge regarding the correct diagnosis , potential causes and consequences, and appropriate treatment plan.
Method- A questionnaire was circulated through Google forms to dentist and Dental students using different social media platforms to collect the data .The questionnaire had 29 questions regarding the awareness of clinical signs and symptoms of Non carious cervical lesions, all the possible etiology and suitable treatment plan.
Result Dentists understand Non carious cervical lesions well, relying on visual exams and preventive measures. Challenges in achieving optimal aesthetics and addressing bonding issues persist in the predominant treatment of composite restoration, influenced by lesion variations and individual patient factors.
Conclusion -In summary, while dentists exhibit commendable proficiency in defining and managing non-cervical carious lesions challenges persist, particularly in achieving optimal aesthetics and addressing bonding issues during composite restoration. The study underscores the importance of enhancing education and adopting a personalized approach to overcome these obstacles and improve outcomes for patients with Non carious cervical lesions.
