| Abstract: | The short story Gwdan Falangiri by Z.D. Basumatary is a remarkable creation. It is one of the short story included in the book Mr. Hybrid: Gwlwmdwi arw Mwdwi. The book was published in the year 2005. The book won Sameswari Literary Award in the year 2006. The reflections which can be found in this short story are social in nature like easy money earning, extortion, kidnapping, corruption and so on. Such kinds of incidents has been reflected in this short story. In this short story, moreover the works of Bathuram Contractor and his skills and techniques like those of Punjab and Haryana and his techniques of agriculture has also been reflected. His techniques of business like those of Bangali and Marawari has also been reflected. |
