In this review of welded joints, a comprehensive examination of the different types of welding joints, their characteristics, advantages, and limitations were carried out. It includes an analysis of the different welding techniques, such as arc welding, gas welding, and resistance welding, and their suitability for various materials and applications. It also covers the factors that affect the strength and durability of welded joints, such as the welding parameters, joint design, and post-weld treatments. It explores the challenges associated with welding joints, such as distortion, residual stresses, and welding defects, and the techniques used to mitigate these issues. In addition, this review examines the testing methods used to evaluate the performance of welded joints, such as tensile testing, bending testing, and impact testing, and the standards and codes that govern the design, fabrication, and inspection of welded structures.
